Iris is Android’s SIRI

Irir is SIRI in reverse and was launched by Dexetra within very few hours of launch of iPhone 4S. Since then the app has seen more than 500,000 downloads and is getting popular at very fast rate.
Since I love testing new Android apps I downloaded this app on my Samsung Galaxy from Android Market.
I really loved the small size of app and speed at which they coded and surfaced it after iPhone 4S launch. App is just a few hundred Kb in size and needs an extra text to voice synthesizer of you want to get human replies from Iris which is approximately of 4.3Mb
While in use Iris was good in recognizing my voice despite of my accent and produced good search results for the questions I asked. For some questions answers were a bit funny but I would blame that to my nasty questions and not to Iris
Apart from simple questions and talking Iris is capable of
- Make Phone Calls
- Compose and send sms on voice
- Remember previous conversation.
To all those who love to test new stuff with their phone, I would suggest go download this app. Although it is not very useful but you would love playing with this app. Considering Iris is currently in Alpha release, you can expect more features and better results in upcoming versions.
